Clause D03 – Below-Ground Drainage (Foul and Surface Water)

Install new drainage using uPVC pipes to BS EN 1401-1, laid on and surrounded with selected granular material, min. 100mm below and above barrel. Minimum gradients to comply with Part H. All pipes to be bedded true to line and level, with access chambers provided at all changes in direction, pipe size, or junction. Use 450mm polypropylene inspection chambers for depths up to 1.2m. Backfill and compact in layers. Existing connections to be exposed and confirmed before works commence. System to be air tested to 100mm water gauge for minimum 5 minutes. Reinstatement to match existing surfaces with cold-lay tarmac or slabs on sand/cement bed.
