This notice explains how SpecWorks.uk handles personal information received through this website and by email.

Information we receive

The current website does not use an enquiry form, create user accounts or take payments. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include, together with your email address and normal message details.

How information is used

We use enquiry information to respond, discuss services or publication updates, keep appropriate business records and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Legal basis

Information is normally processed because it is necessary to respond to your request, take steps before entering a contract, perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation or pursue the legitimate interests of running SpecWorks responsibly.

Hosting and service providers

The website and email services are provided by third-party suppliers. They may process limited technical or message data to deliver, secure and maintain those services.

Anonymous website analytics

We use PostHog EU Cloud to understand how the website is used and improve its content. PostHog is configured in cookieless mode: it does not set analytics cookies or use local or session storage, and SpecWorks does not use it to identify visitors or create personal profiles. Session recording is disabled.

The analytics record page visits, entry sources, broad browser and device information, sample-pack download clicks and interactions with clause-book, service and contact links. We use this limited information for the legitimate interest of assessing and improving the website and our services. Supported browser Do Not Track settings are respected.

Retention

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the enquiry, working relationship, record keeping or legal requirements.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, object to processing or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
